Commissioned desk for a private client. This project seeks reference in the marine universe, having its lines inspired by the shape of fossils of aquatic species. The table was imagined immersed under water, where everything is lighter and all movement more fluid, where gravity does not seem to operate. For this reason its lines are organic and smooth, contrasting with the weight of the material.
Cristalo, a Brazilian quartizto - with great hardness and crystallized formation - was chosen as material in order to offer a mineral appearance to the furniture, reinforcing the notion of fossilization of the piece. The table is composed of plates with asymmetric cuts, faceted on only one side. Gently curved edges provide comfort to the touch and accentuate the visual lightness of the project.
