Alta is a floor lamp whose upward light creates a diffused illumination that hangs over the piece. The design seeks inspiration in the characteristic monumentality of the Brazilian Modernist period. Its shape is composed by 2 conical blocks of solid wood. While the upper volume has the minimum dimension to house the light source, the lower one offers stability to the set. This considerable difference between the size of the parts gives the lamp an atypical proportion, in which lies the expression of the piece.
The lamps are made of turned solid wood through a handcrafted process and receive ebonized or discolored finish. Both processes change the natural color of the wood, but keep its texture preserved.
